چکیده

Methods: OPs were recorded from a comeal lens, after Ganzfeld stimulation. The analog recording bandwidth was set to IO@1Khz. OPs were acquired following three difrerent protocols: 1) immediately after an abmot change in background illumination, 2) followina various time of preahaptation and 3) duhng the adaptation period. Purpose: The Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) crossed asymmetry revealed in patients with various forms of albinism is believed to be pathognomonic of this co#ition. We report on patients with the incomplete form of Stationary Night Blindness (iCSNB) in whom, beside a set of very characteristic electroretinogmms (electronegative bright-flash and photopic responses, cone oscillatory potential

Visual evoked potentials with crossed asymmetry in incomplete congenital stationary night blindness.

PURPOSE To investigate a proposed postretinal defect in patients with the incomplete form of congenital stationary night blindness (CSNB2) and to compare visual evoked potential (VEP) results with those found in various forms of albinism. METHODS Visual evoked potentials were performed in 10 patients with a diagnosis of CSNB2, 10 subjects with albinism, and 17 normal subjects. Visual evoked p...

The electroretinographic diagnosis of the incomplete form of congenital stationary night blindness

Fifteen patients with the incomplete form of congenital stationary night blindness (iCSNB) were reviewed to better characterize their electroretinographic (ERG) findings in view of differential diagnosis with other retinal conditions also presenting with negative bright-flash ERG responses. In all 15 patients, in dark-adapted conditions, the bright-flash ERG response had a normal a-wave followe...

Dysregulation of Cav1.4 channels disrupts the maturation of photoreceptor synaptic ribbons in congenital stationary night blindness type 2

Mutations in the gene encoding Cav 1.4, CACNA1F, are associated with visual disorders including X-linked incomplete congenital stationary night blindness type 2 (CSNB2). In mice lacking Cav 1.4 channels, there are defects in the development of "ribbon" synapses formed between photoreceptors (PRs) and second-order neurons. However, many CSNB2 mutations disrupt the function rather than expression...
